They'll jump off of cliffs into lakes and rivers, all while knowing that if they hit a shallow they could lose their life - it could even happen from simply landing wrong. Craziest of all, however, are the people who pay good money to jump out of a plane and into the clouds. It's easy to judge that behavior and think, man, they must be out of their minds. I think that feeling terrified can be thrilling, it's a reminder that you're alive. These reminders are becoming increasingly desirable now that so many of us spend the days sitting at a desk, and then going home to sit on the couch. It's all a bit numbing.
